I am 5'6" 138 lbs (athletic, slightly curvy) - 27" waist, 38" butt. These fit so well. Perfect length with a high(ish) rise. I love ultra high rise jeans and barrel often don't have high enough rise for me. These satisfy my need for it to nip in the waist and have that great stylish barrel leg. The ...black is washed black so it is greyer than black, but absolutely awesome! There is no stretch, and my normal size 27 fits perfectly.
Nice jeans, heavy so maybe good for fall but wonder if sizing off. I hate giving so few stars but sizing is important. These are at least 2" too big in the waist even after washing and drying to try to shrink them. I always buy slightly larger to allow shrinkage and thought I needed to go up but the...se are giant. Maybe I should have gone down 1 size by the chart, but these would have still been too big. Unfortunately popped tags off expecting a fit so can't return.Live and learn.

I was very skeptical about even trying these on because I'm tall with narrow hips, thin thighs & very small behind. But to my surprise these look great & are very comfortable. I usually wear high rise skinny jeans because of my long lean shape. But these barrel jeans are my new favorite. Love them so much I got them in several other colors (high waisted crossover barrel jeans too), As a point of reference, I'm 5'8" 130 lbs & got size 29 regular because I wanted a bit lower rise. The size 27 also fit but I prefer the fit on the size 29. They look great with a fitted top. FYI, the tall length was much too long, even with my height & long legs.
