These pants shrink in excess of 3-4". Measured them new after two washes in cold water. Dried extra low once, measured, saw shrinkage of 3". Second wash, dried for 2-3 minutes to remove wrinkles, pants shrunk in length again an additional 1/2". Brand new, Mediums have come in various lengths from... 30 1/2" to 34", so buyers, it pays to pay attention to the initial length. 34" is very long but they will shrink down to 30" if you insist on using the dryer (most will as no one wants to iron kids clothes).
I don't know hat is going on with the sizing with gaps children's clothing, I ordered an XXL for my son, and I can compare the waist on these pants to a size medium or slim large at best. This is not a small mistake, xxl should be a 27/28 inch waist, not 23/24 inches. This happens so often that it m...akes me not even want to purchase clothing for my son from this site anymore. These pants are suppose to be tapered to the leg, more of a snug slim fit, which is fine, but the waist on them should not look ridiculously smaller than those slim pant legs. Have ordered these in previous years and loved them, but I seem to return too many items to the Gap for it to be worth it anymore.

My son is very slim and hard on his clothes. These are one of the only types of joggers that fit him and actually last a season. They also look a step up so they pass more as "sophisticated athleisure" vs "I'm fresh out of gym class". #sweepstakes

These look and feel great quality. My son is so excited to have these for back to school. We bought them in two colours. They fit true to size but we went up a size for longevity and they're still wearable. #sweepstakes
