I naively thought this would work as a stand-alone summer vest, but it would only if you wanted to go braless and show off your stuff, so I'm pretty disappointed that it was depicted this way in the online catalog. Nevertheless, it's a nice true red that will work for all the occasions like 4th of ...July, Christmas, and Valentine's day, but not without a tee or cami underneath. I agree with one other reviewer that the patch pockets add bulk right below the bust, so I don't love this vest as much as I expected to. I tried on both the medium and large and decided for a more relaxed fit with the large. I generally wear a 10 in Gap clothes, but like a relaxed fit with sweaters.
Fits smaller than I expected. I wish I bought one size larger than usual. I love the dark brown though. #sweepstakes

i bought the blue in XL size. This sweater is super nice. I like it and can pair it with many other clothes. The front pockets are nice and are little style pockets but that is ok. The material is nice and soft, and since I haven't worn it yet just tried it on, I'd say the size is true to size, and length is true as well, not cropped. I can't say it won't create pillage or shrink if washed. Got it on sale and I am thinking of getting another color as well.

Wanted to like this - ordered the off white sz L. 5'10 usually a Tall M or L. Took a chance on this as only comes in Reg sizes, still neckline bit too low to wear without a cami underneath & position of patch pockets on me were just below bust & looked wrong. Length was ok otherwise but issue for me was neckline & the pockets. Returned :(
