This skirt waist is true to the waist, yet that is inches high for me when i take my standard size. I sized up to slide itdown for the low-waist look i prefer. Excellent linen blend again for the second year running! I saw in person that yellow and the white skirts each have cotton lining, which... gives a good drape. I like that the skirt is not gathered - a nice line without extra material on the hips = ideal for me.
The waistband is a little tight to pull up over my hips comfortably and I am a solid Medium at the Gap. I was able to wear it, but it just didn't feel great. The elastic is wide and, even though it didn't feel cheap, it just didn't feel like something I was going to want to wear on repeat. The side ...slit is ok, but the length is that midi length that really doesn't hit right and can't decide if it wants to sit higher or lower. The fabric felt fine and I was a little surprised that it fell loosely around my hips. I would recommend this to the friend I know it would work well on, but in general, this isn't a piece I would tell all my friends I love.

gapcanada.ca/Great skirt in the new Off White colour. The lining is soft and semi-sewn into the skirt to hopefully keep it in place. I like the 2" elasticized waist band. It sits at my waist and is comfortable. I prefer this pull on style to a zip/clasp for comfort and longevity. The slit goes up quite high on my 5'4" frame but I dont mind it. I bought a medium petite and its the perfect length, still quite long. I typically wear an 8 at Gap on the bottom - I could see people wanting to size up especially if you are curvy as it may be snug in the hips and rear if you do.

I ordered this skirt without much expectation since I don't usually wear this type of skirt, but I was pleasantly surprised — it's really nice. It looks very flattering and elongates the silhouette. The quality also seems good, although I haven't actually worn it yet since it's still too cold for this kind of skirt. I'm 5'3" and chose XS Petite so it wouldn't be too long — I don't like skirts that go all the way to the ankles. This one hits around mid-calf, which is perfect for me. I got the red one and I really love the color. The blue was too pale for my taste, and I didn't like the other colors. If it came in more rich, bold shades, I would probably buy more. Hopefully it won't shrink after washing.
