Good material, fit and color…but sizing is way off!

Bought the heavy weight dark rinse jeans in size 32. The quality of fabric, fit and colour are excellent. However, the sizing is way off. When measured, the waist size came to 37 inches. May have to exchange it for a smaller size. Would have been helpful if the size guide was atleast a bit accurate.

If I could leave a zero star review, I would.

Large, visual defect on outside of back pocket(large fabric run). Couldnt unbutton jeans without extreme effort and pain in my fingers. Couldn't even button the pants back up. First and last pair I'll buy from this place. Do not recommend, save your money. Their rep is well deserved.

Comments about Jean droit décontracté

Size and fit is totally off. I've bought the same sizing in jeans from Gap for years and these fit probably 2-3 sizes smaller than usual. Crotch is cut super high. Not relaxed straight Material and olive color were great.

I like the higher rise and longer pant leg (length). Inconsistent fit and sizing across different colors, particularly in the waist/thigh. I appreciate the 100% cotton / real jeans, though.

Awesome aesthetic BUT not relaxed

I love the look of these jeans but they fit like a straight fit at best, I'd compare them to Levi's 514. Pretty tight on my thighs, decent room on my calves. Would have loved it with another couple inches of thigh space but had to return because they're just not comfortable.

Flaps on the back pockets

Clearly I was not paying attention when I ordered these as I thought they were the regular Gap jean. Did not realize they had flaps on the pockets and they are tight in the waist.

Its hard to find 100% cotton jeans these days. They fit alright and have held up good. Ive bought these jeans in almost every color.

Sizing is ok, length wise maybe a little too long but it's close enough. The main complaint is the button. No idea why it's so hard to button and unbutton, up to the point where your fingers start hurting. Maybe there wasn't enough space cut out for the button? Itll probably fix once I wear it out but it's annoying

look really cool but odd fit.

i really dig the look of herring bone carpenter pants, im not a big guy at all and there is no room for your crack and junk in these pants, i literally can't pull them over my crack they are so low rise, please gap carpenter jeans should be high rise in the waste if anything, would love to see them try making these pants again.

If you're looking at the herringbone and wondering if you should buy them, just buy them. I get compliments or get asked where I got the jeans every time I go out in them. They're the kind of thing you can dress up or dress down and look great either way. Decent quality overall for the price. True to size.
