The underside of this fabric is fleece, not loops. French terry has an official definition, so the title and description of this product is explicitly false. I ordered these for summer and would not have done so if the item was properly described. If described as fleece backed, the product would mee...t expectations. " French terry is a knit fabric with one smooth side and one side with loops created by a thread that floats along the back and only goes through some of the stitches. On French terry fabric, the loops only appear on one side, differentiating it from terry cloth, which has loops on both sides of the fabric."

I love the length and colors, but was really confused to find that these are fleece lined, not French Terry cotton. Not great for hot, humid summers. Unfortunately, I've had to return. A bummer because I like the length on these more than the pull on shorts
