As some people mentioned they are more fitted than the previous version, I got S instead of my usual XS, and they are fitted but not tight. Sleeves are shorter this year and material is a little thinner than long sleeve version but perfect for hot summer days. Length is also a little shorter, but I ...like this better. Previous version was a bit too long.
The V is too low on these for me; if I pick up my child while wearing this shirt, it immediately pulls to expose my bra. I purchased this shirt back in 2021 in the same size (Large Tall) and those were perfection. These 2026 versions have a V that is 2.25 inches lower than the version from 2021. The... body length and sleeve length are also 1 inch shorter than my older version. It's tighter in the body too, though my old ones are likely stretched out from wear. I'm not sure how the V of this current version looks so much higher on the models in the photos, but that is not how it hits on me at all! See my photos for a comparison of the 2021 version (black) to the 2026 version (navy), and for how the 2026 version fits me. The sizing is small based on the size chart. My bust is 37", waist is 31", hips are 39.5" (putting me between Med & Large on the size chart) and I have a bit of a mom pooch. The Large Tall is snug on me and at 26" long it's the shortest length I'd be comfortable wearing. I still love this fabric, which is thicker than any other nice basic tee I've found. Because of the thickness, I find it to be more smoothing and forgiving of the bumps and bulges around my midsection where my jeans waistband hits. I've found this fabric to be comfortable to wear in the hot humid summers of North Carolina. I'll be giving this shirt away (I removed the tag & wore for a day) and trying the crew neck version in a size up. Bring back the higher V-neck, please!!!!

I hope that Gap decides to revert back to the thicker, nicer cotton stretch modern fit in years past, because I have bought them for years, despite having very limited color offerings of gray, navy, and black. I tried these on, and they are much tighter and lighter with a small ribbed effect. They were so silly on me, I sent them back the next day. I have loved the modern fit, but 2025 brought the oddly longer short-sleeves, and 2026 this oddity. Do what you want, but don't market it as modern fit if yore.

The fit is great but the stitching on the sleeve unravelled after the first wear so the quality just isn't there. Esp at that cost.

gapcanada.ca/This top is completely see through. It is not the same material as similar shirts last year. In addition to this, it's way too long. I am 5'9 and have a long torso. This hits me mid-bum. I originally ordered the regular XS and exchanged it for a petite XS (I've never worn anything petite in my life - I'd anything, I order tall) thinking that might help with the length. There is no difference in the length between the petite and regular. The only small difference I noticed was the underarm are a teeny bit tighter. But really, the length is ridiculous. I don't want a crop top, I want a normal top that hits between the waist and hips. This bunches up around the waist if untucked and even if tucked in, there is way too much fabric. Too bad as it's very soft and I loved the same top last year.
