As some people mentioned they are more fitted than the previous version, I got S instead of my usual XS, and they are fitted but not tight. Sleeves are shorter this year and material is a little thinner than long sleeve version but perfect for hot summer days. Length is also a little shorter, but I ...like this better. Previous version was a bit too long.
The V is too low on these for me; if I pick up my child while wearing this shirt, it immediately pulls to expose my bra. I purchased this shirt back in 2021 in the same size (Large Tall) and those were perfection. These 2026 versions have a V that is 2.25 inches lower than the version from 2021. The... body length and sleeve length are also 1 inch shorter than my older version. It's tighter in the body too, though my old ones are likely stretched out from wear. I'm not sure how the V of this current version looks so much higher on the models in the photos, but that is not how it hits on me at all! See my photos for a comparison of the 2021 version (black) to the 2026 version (navy), and for how the 2026 version fits me. The sizing is small based on the size chart. My bust is 37", waist is 31", hips are 39.5" (putting me between Med & Large on the size chart) and I have a bit of a mom pooch. The Large Tall is snug on me and at 26" long it's the shortest length I'd be comfortable wearing. I still love this fabric, which is thicker than any other nice basic tee I've found. Because of the thickness, I find it to be more smoothing and forgiving of the bumps and bulges around my midsection where my jeans waistband hits. I've found this fabric to be comfortable to wear in the hot humid summers of North Carolina. I'll be giving this shirt away (I removed the tag & wore for a day) and trying the crew neck version in a size up. Bring back the higher V-neck, please!!!!

gapcanada.ca/Material is super soft and comfortable and the fit aside from the length is perfect. I'm 5'9 with a very long and about 125 lbs with a very long torso. I ordered XS in the regular length and it is ridiculously long which leaves baggy material at the bottom of the shirt. I like my tanks and tees to hit a little above the waist of my jeans and even with low rise these hang over the jeans. Even when tucking in, there is too much fabric which is uncomfortable and frumpy looking. Returned and ordered a petite XS, which is ridiculous considering I'm considered tall.

I like the color fabric and shape of the modern-neck T-shirt. However the size is unexpectedly small. I wear the long sleeve version of this T-shirt and it fits perfectly. The short sleeve is too small and the V- neck too deep.

I've been buying Gap tees for years, but the quality lately has tanked. I bought this tee in my usual petite medium to allow for shrinkage, but after washing on delicate, it was too small to wear - and I'm 4'11 and 110 lbs. Good quality cotton, just cut too small for a medium petite. The white modern tees are see through, the fabric is so thin. I've had black ones that are also cut too small.

I agree with other reviews about the change in this shirt its shorter, thinner, rough material and see through extremely dissappointed in the entire MODERN LINE why did you change this staple?
