These long-sleeve (L/S) shirts are thick, non-see-through, and wash well. I purchased this top in the following colors: Light Heather Grey (like as shown in the picture), Black, Fresh White (pills after a few washes and there's discoloration, but I find that with most things that are white), and Hea...ther Beige (not at all the same color as shown in the picture - it's more like when the (brown) sand on the beach gets soaked) - it's a pretty color, but much darker and not so heathered as pictured here. I find that these tops fit a little larger, so if you like these to fit true-to-size, with little to extra fabric, I recommend going one size down. If you like a little bit of extra fabric, go with your true size.
I used to buy these all the time when the REAL GAP sold them. They were soft and made of great cotton. They were thick and flattering on and kept their shape and color . Everything here has been getting progressively worse for a long time. This top fades after first wash and shrinks even in cold was...h, gentle cycle, line dry. The ones I got last week fit like a huge box and lost their shape fast and all the stitching at hem came apart on both of them. I had threads hanging off. I kept them because they are okay to wear as pajama top but I wouldn't wear them in public. Breaks my heart because you were the only place that used to have quality clothes for talls. Banana Republic is better quality but no tall sweaters and everything is so over priced. I used to spend thousands here and had lovely clothes to wear in my office. No more.

Ordered modern crew neck tee a fee years back. L Tall size as I am 5'9" and 195 lbs. LOVED them. So nice and long. Have been watching for more colors. Finally, took the plunge. SO DISAPPOINTED. At least 2 inches shorter than last ones I ordered.GAP tall sizes in modern crew neck tee are no longer an option for me.

So soft and comfortable and the quality is excellent I got this in black and grey and I also have a black and white striped version and they hold up! If you don't want it to be skin tight but still a good layer go up a size. I am usually a small but I like a medium in these and that way too you don't have to worry as much wash and drying over time. I usually only dry a bit then hang these to dry to make them last.

I got an S, but I should have gotten an XS instead. The material is quite stretchy so sizing down is recommended. It was just TOO long, maybe the petite version is better.

I have been buying the Modern Crewneck T-shirt for years! I have both the long and short sleeve in every colour. They are a great basic to wear year round and the quality for the price is exceptional. I love the brown for fall a dark colour, instead of always wearing black.

Great fit, has stretch so it fits close to your body to give you shape but not too tight that it shows problem areas. It doesn't get baggy or stretch out as you wear it. It is longer so you can wear it outside jeans . Sleeves are long so I get the petite which are shorter but still go to the wrist. My favorite tees!
