I read other reviews and am aware that the slip is tight for many. I found the slip to be perfect. It does not restrict movement but is more fitted than the dress itself. As for the dress, perfect in every way!

The fabric is very beautiful, but the dress looked like old-fashioned nightgowns on me, not exactly the effect I was hoping for

I love this dress! It's flowing but has seams in all the right places to not give the appearance of a potato sack. I gave it only 4 stars because it is really sheer, even with the built in slip, you can see my printed undies through it. I will need another slip for sure. Also, like others said, the built in (but easily removable) slip is cut very narrow & a little too tight around my hips.

Due to others comments on size, I ordered a small when I would have ordered a medium, and my desire was for the oversized look. I found it slightly too small and decided to return, especially since it would likely shrink. The fabric was sort of soft, although I expect it would get much more comfy with washes. I loved the beige and subtle criss cross pattern. I am petite at 5'2", so this was definitely midi length on me, hitting somewhere between mid calf and ankle. To be honest, I wished the lastvteir were gone and it were a sort of oversized shirt dress. If I could justify the price, I considered having it altered. The slip unclip from inside. I actually didnt even try the slip, but could see others comments bc it wasnt a stretchy material. The beige fabric was sheer but is super cute with tank or something underneath. I recommend purchasing on sale!! However, bc it wasnt a slam dunk fit for me, I ended up returning. If you're listening, Gap, I'd love this exact fabric in an oversized shirt version/ shorter dress version/ or even a button down!

The slip underneath is so tight and the whole thing is VERY see through. You could see all my undergarments and the outline, even though they were skin toned. returning Asap

I was surprised with the fabric, much nicer than I expected. I read other reviews that runs way big, but I ordered my usual size and it's perfect.

Many of the comments said this dress was oversized with a small slip. I didn't find this at all. The dress was true to size and the slip just right. I am a size XS and almost wish I would have ordered the S for a looser look. The cotton is light weight and and has good body so the dress hangs nicely.
