I ordered the size 4, as wear 27's in jeans, and I wasn't sure on the inseam as in the past, some of Gap's petite or short were a 30" and I liked the cropped look to wear with different shoes. I ordered the "petite" and the "regular". I realize each pair will be a bit different, but the petite insea...m measured 27 1/2!! WAAAY too short. The regular has not arrived yet, so the jury is out, but the 4 is also a bit snug at the waist. I am hoping when the regular arrives it is cut a bit larger as I like a more slouchy look, and hate feeling constricted. I am very short waisted and am more comfortable with a mid rise or a roomier fit that I can pull a bit lower onto hip. I think linen may stretch out while wearing, so will see. I suggest trying a few, even in the same sizing, as cannot count on things being cut the same. If the other 4 still feel tight, I may go up a size, just to wear lower and slouchier as shown on the model.
I bought these trousers in 4 colors because they were perfect for work. Little elastic in the back to make them comfortable and perfect for tucking in a shirt. The long length is always perfect for me (I'm 6') so I was thrilled with these. I noticed they're a little fragile (pulled a thread or two o...n the first wear) but I wasn't concerned. Then I washed them. One pair had threads run all up and down the front - unwearable. The second pair had the bottom hems came out and all the threads ripped open. I'm so disappointed. I'm sending them all back because they lasted less than 2 days.

365 High Rise Linen-Cotton Trousers Color: new off white Size: 14 Petite My weight and measurements are; "weight 195 lbs high 5'1 waist 33 inches hip 48". If I want to mention that the fabric is of very good quality, not see through and if you are a short person like me and want to use your pants with any high platform shoes you will need to order the regular size, i order petite and it's just perfect to use with any low profile shoes.
