I have been looking at this dress for awhile. Some of the reviews worried me but I wanted a nice dress for a Christmas dinner out so I bought this in petite XS in the Tuscan Red. It arrived originally on 12/19/25 in plenty of time for my dinner out. Upon opening the package I saw that they sent th...e wrong dress. I spoke with Leslie, customer service rep who took care of the problem beautifully and had the correct dress sent just in time for my dinner! I could not have asked for better service. And, back to the dress - it fits beautifully and it is lovely light weight knit that is not cheap in any way. It fits me like a glove and TTS. My granddaughter asked me where I got it and I told her the Gap. She said she would love it in black. It is being shipped her at the time of this posting :) I hope it fits her as beautifully as it fits me.
I can't believe the price of this dress! The quality is terrible. The fabric is soft but so thin. The only redeeming quality is the colour is great (burgundy). The edges aren't even finished and there is weird seam down the middle front and back. Returning!

So many compliments - it is light do you will need a slip, but the fit and flare are so flattering. If there were more colour choices, I would buy another one. Small 5ft 6" hits mid calf, not maxi. Love it. Wash cold and dry on a rack or padded hanger though.

This is to let you know that Gap does care. My review was a complaint about the poor way items are shipped. Gap saw my review and I followed up with them and I was assured that Gap does care about quality control and it does get passed on. This was nice to know. And since then ordering from the Gap, I have received my items properly packaged :). BTW - my granddaughter loved the dress that was ordered of her. It is a beautiful dress that I bought for myself as well.

This dress was ordered for my granddaughter on 12/24/25 and finally arrived on 1/6/26. I will not know how it fits until she returns from out of town. However, the purpose for my review is to let Gap know how too often how poorly items are packaged for shipping. This dress was just shoved into the shipping mailer and not inside a sealed bag inside the mailer. This has happened many times when ordering from Gap online and it is unacceptable. Gap, you need to do better!
