Like the other reviewer mentioned, I was glad to try it on in the store. I am 5'4" 145lb and usually wear between small/medium due to my wider hip. However, the small fits well in this case. When I tried on the regular dress in the store, there were weird gaps near the armpit area. The staff recom...mended ordering petite online, saying it might help because it's had shorter torso. I was skeptical but decided to give it a try anyway. To my surprise it actually works. There are still gaps near the armpits but not as noticeable with Petite. My husband really like it so it's definitely a keeper.
I have an older GAP denim dress in a similar style (round neck but buttons) and I wanted to order another. I ordered the blue denim plaid and it definitely was a very stretchy denim. Unfortunately, for a medium, it was way too short. I'm about 5'7-5'8 and the medium did not work for me length wise t...o wear to school, but everything else was perfect (though I have a smaller chest and wider hips). My vintage version had at least another 4 inches as a medium, this one was barely half an inch from my finger tips.

Pros - love the retro denim pattern, plus the material is slightly elastic so gives some room Con -very short lengthwise. Glad I bought it in regular instead of petite as I'm a 5'3 and it was still a bit short for me. Lastly, I feel the arms are a little wide with a gaping in the arm hole. Overall I'll give it a 6 to 7 out of 10. #Sweepstakes

I love the cut of this dress. Wear a button up, turtleneck, long sleeve under it in the colder months and I think this dress could easily be 3 seasons...if not 4, appropriate.

I love it, and can't wait to wear it to b-day party this weekend. The fabric has quite a bit of stretch to it, something I didn't notice, but, which is great, as it "gives" when sitting down, entering a car, etc. Sheath dresses can be snug. Note: Many Reviewers note that the top and armhole are large. The dress fits me perfectly, My bust is 38 C, and I am 5'6" but I'm a swimmer with a broad back. Regular was unavailable, so ordered tall It comes to my knees. I"ll rehem it about 3 inches.
