I am short and have a long, slim torso and an exaggerated pear shape (5'3", 139 lbs, size 34B bra and widest point of butt-thigh is 43 inches). Because of this, I often wear a size 2 or XS on top, while at the same time wearing a 6-8 on the bottom. I bought the size 2 in this Gap Studio tencel denim-look dress, and it fit beautifully. The top of the dress just barely fits my bust and torso, it skims my waist, and then flows to the floor. If I had any belly fat it would definitely show, but thankfully I have a pretty flat stomach. The fabric has no stretch at all, and while the ties allow some flexibility, I would say that you have to fit your upper body exactly for the stress to work. I bought it final sale for $38 so it was a gamble worth taking, and I just happened to look out, but I think people with different body shapes might not have the same experience.

I don't normally buy dresses.. I am tall and curvy. For reference 6' and 170LBS with large bust and booty. This is probably one of the most flattering and comfortable dresses I have bought. Fit TTT! I wear a 10 and bought a 10. Dreamy drape and I might actually be able to go without a bra.. (extra bonus). Just buy it.

The 4 was too tight around the ribs and belly are but pretty good everywhere else. I wanted it to fit a little loose so I tried the 6 - it was ever so slightly looser but also looser around the bust. So I tried as a last chance the 8 - bust was all over the place- rib area was still a little snug and the length was a good 8 inches too long. The length on the other sizes was not an issue. So I gave it a good 3 times try but it's a pass for me.

I was hoping this would be a go to summer dress, sadly I had to return it. The fit of this dress is off. 1. Too much material 2.The back zipper gapes and does not sit flat no matter high tight you pull the straps.

So I am a curvy 5'3 150 lbs 34DD woman, thinner in the waist, ordered size 6. This thing fits like a glove and accentuates the curves. it has a diagonal stretch so it actually will likely accommodate a bigger hip or chest. I am usually size 4 or 6, I like my clothes to fit snug. In the past Studio sizes were smaller so I ordered a 6. Not disappointed, the cut is such, it will accommodate me losing or gaining weight. Overall very happy with the dress. Only downside you'd have to go without a bra, which is ok with me, the dress provides a bit of chest support due to adjustable ties in the back. You could potentially be able to style it with a thin white tank if a concern. And of course some "Cakes" for nipple coverage if going without a bra. The length was perfect all the way down to the floor for me but not touching it.
