All cotton fabrics are required for comfortable southwestern living. Meets my basic requirement. Runs large but not sure if I would have found a size smaller as comfortable. Length is ideal - will wear with boots or sandals depending on season. Almost has a western flare in the tan color so will pla...y that up with turquoise - or go with my equestrian-themed Hermes scarf. Read about this dress in a Wirecutter review - I had bad experiences with Gap 15+ years ago but I'm now back for GapStudio and GapX collaborations.
I was very eager to try this dress and scanned every image/video I could find online, but I was still very disappointed with all of my purchase-- either too big or too small. I do wish gap would be consistent with their vanity sizing-- it's like playing roulette with your final sale purchases. The... size on this dress was ridiculous. I am 5'6" and 116 lbs, and I like looser fits, but this dress is unwearable for me. The fabric is a poplin that both tends toward rigid and holds a wrinkle -- like paper. The length and cut of the dress are not apparent from the photos and dimensions were not provided to help a consumer make an informed decision prior to a final sale item. I did not realize the sleeves would be dolman shaped-- can you tell? Quite frankly, I don't think they balance out the volume of the dress. The color was off from the photo--the color felt dimmer than I expected from the image. The end effect... I look like I wrapped a giant brown packing paper around myself and tied it with a belt.

High quality dress. The fabric is a little stiff, even after washing and there's SO much of it. It can easily fit a wide range of body types. I would have sized down had I known.

HUGE!! If not for the great tailoring, it would look like a literal tent. As is, I'm already swimming in a sea of fabric (although in the best possible way). Order two sizes down - I ordered one sz down based on existing reviews - it's really large.

The fabric is thick and nicer than expected. The dress runs very large and the small was baggy, but I'm keeping because it's a good basic for me. Also "gap studio" is embroidered on the cuff and I think logo location should always be publicized in the sale ads.

I bought a large - my usual size but with much concern since other reviewers said the dress would be huge. It is a wide dress admittedly, however I think it was meant to be oversized and so I'm somewhat comfortable with it. I like that it is to my ankles and I'm 5'10 .... I haven't worn it yet to see how it fits with a full days wear but just from the initial try on I think its a long oversized dress meant to be styled as such

I was concerned after having read the reviews because I ordered my regular size - large. When the dress arrived it was indeed much wider than anticipated but im not as disturbed because I actually think it's supposed to be a bit oversized and long .... im 5'10 and it's at my ankles... I actually love that about it. Its kinda oversized on the models too if you look closely...Note this is my initial reaction after trying it on once .... perhaps I will return to edit my review when I've worn it for a whole day and see how it moves or if it feels too big.

Toni's is a nice dress but the sizing makes no sense. I purchased a medium (I'm a size 8) I have it to my sister who wears a size 16. Runs way too big.
