I wanted to love these jeans because they look extremely good on me with the perfect length and fit in the hips - which is rare when you are 5', 102 lbs with curves. However, the front of the waist felt uncomfortably tight even though the back had a smidge of extra room still. The jeans feel totally rigid even though they have 1% stretch so I knew they wouldn't feel much different over time. The inseam is 26" on the petite for your reference and the rise is actually quite low - less than 8" on petite. I like the look enough that I am trying a size up in petite and regular short.

I really liked these jeans! The length was perfect for me (I'm 4'11''). I will say the color isn't exactly what I thought it would be (not as blue?), but the jeans themselves are one of my new faves!

Perfect fit

Contrary to the description, these do NOT run small, at least not size 31 in medium indigo--they're a half or full size too big! (The non-curvy version is truer to the size chart.) So now I have to decide whether to try another size to get a better idea of whether I like the curvy fit, or just return. Also at 5'3" I'd say these are a very nice mid rise, not low rise.

the stitching and durability is amazing I'm usually a 26 petite but these pants suffocated my butt and thighs id honestly size up if you have a smaller waist but a bigger butt

I love that they are a curvy fit. They fit well except are a tiny bit small in the waist. I will tell you I am middle aged and have a little bit a belly. But I bought these along with the curvy low rise long and lean jeans and those fit better at the waist. So it could just be the difference in the cut of the jeans. I am keeping them because they are not uncomfortable and fit well every where else. It's hard to find a straight leg jean these days and I don't find the wider and baggier cuts flattering on me. #sweepstakes

The sizing is a problem when purchasing online with Gap. Ordered the Curvy 90s low rise Jeans with 32 waist, I received jeans with a 41 waist band. Gap size chart is misleading and confusing.. Bring back the Girl Friend Jeans they were priced right, fit well and the size chart was right on...........

I typically don't buy low rise. Im 5'3 and curvy with a lot of junk in the trunk. I purchased the regular rise and slightly rolled the hem. They felt nice and looked good.
