This is the gap I remember from the 90s. Classic. Excellent quality fabric. Great fabric weight. Doesn't wrinkle easily. Doesn't shrink when washed. Ready to wear right out of the dryer. No ironing needed. I'm not sure what people mean by the inconsistency with sizes. That hasn't been my experience.... I have 3 pairs of these pants. Khaki, green, and black. All fit exactly the same on me. I'm 5'3", 145 lb, size 10 regular length. All the pants from their corduroy to these fit me the same. I'm the perfect size 10 for regular length.
These pants are definitely not low-rise. They fit more like a mid-rise, which might work if you have a long torso and want the waistband higher. Because of that, they sit looser around the waist, since they're meant to sit at the hips as advertised. Also, the product photo is misleading—the length l...ooks like it grazes the floor, but in real life the pants stop at the ankles, unless you prefer a gap in the crotch area no pun intended. If you prefer a true low-rise, hip-sitting fit, stick to the Long & Lean style instead. :)

I was so excited for these pants! I ordered them in two colors. Unfortunately the tall in my regular size was too short. This was surprising since Gap tall in jeans rarely ever let me down. I thought maybe it was a mistake so tried on the other pair. Same thing, too short. I tried a size up and while those were better in length, they were too big in other places so not really a solution. Sadly they all had to be returned. What a bummer when the rest of the fit was perfect.

These pants are really nice, non-stretch fabric. If you have a bigger butt, you may want to proceed w caution. The cut is really nice not too long or wide but if not styled properly it gives middle school uniform…

These flared pants are a new favorite of mine! I wear between a size 6 & 8 tall, I'm 5'11 & 148 lbs. I got the size 8 & they fit well. The flare isn't too exaggerated- more like a bigger bootcut, the color is a slightly washed out black & they sit right on my hips. I'm 68 & do my best to look classy & current-not frumpy & these pants fill the bill!

The description is wrong. Not only are these definitely not low rise, they're high rise. The pocket area is also bulky, adding additional material to the hips. I would have liked them due to the soft denim material in tan and flare style if they had indeed been low rise or even mid. Returned.
