I very much like the relaxed fit and soft twill fabric of these barrel pants. I am 5'4" tall and weigh about 140 lbs. with a thick waist. I typically always wear petite or short length pants in all brands. I purchased these in both a 12P and 12R for comparison. The 12P were a little shorter th...an I like, so were returned. The 12R is a perfect length for me. They fit more like a high rise, not mid-rise which I would have preferred. The waist is a little large, but I'm okay with that. They make for a comfortable fit and also look good with a belt. They will look great with flats, loafers and sneakers. I purchased 4 of the black moss green and 4 of the wicker beige. My only complaint has to do with the waist "hook and bar" of one of the black moss green pants…the bar is missing. I will pay to have the bar replaced instead of returning them, but only because the 12R size in this color is constantly out of stock. A very popular pant and at a great discount right now! 🙂
Ordered these in the Palamino brown color. The color is great in person. Ordered tall and a size up for loose/relaxed fit that the model is wearing, and length (they still could be an inch longer for us tall ladies). The booty still is flattering even with going a size up. So that's a win! My bigges...t issue with these pants is that they are trouser style close: zip fly with hook and tiny/poorly sewn button. Why couldn't they just be regular button and zip fly, or button fly?! The trouser style closure is done with such poor quality and it is a generally crappy style for women's pants!!!!

Love the fit of these, but both pairs became unwearable after a few wears. Wore the light tan for 2 months and the back pockets completely ripped away from the seams. I also had the darker tan which became unwearable after a few washes due to weird color fading in certain areas. Threw them both away.

gapcanada.ca/I've never had a pair of pants fit me so well! The black colour is interesting, it does have acid wash on them. I like how it adds character. The online sizing chart didn't work for me, it seems way off. I would suggest going with your instincts for sizing. I am usually a size 4 lulu leggings, but size 2 fits me as well. I went with a size 4 petite in hopes that the inseam would land a little higher than my boots, and it's perfect. I'm 5'6 for reference!

Not a true mid-rise I would say closer to a high rise. The waist was tight and I didn't like the cut of the barrel in these. I do have other barrel style Gap pants that I like.

I ordered the black pair after purchasing a green pair in store and absolutely loving them. I sized up, actually, and the fit was great so I was really looking forward to having these in another color. The black color has some kind of acid wash and these pants literally look like they have been through the washer with bleach. I zoomed in on the pictures online to make sure I wasn't crazy and I even ordered a second pair to be sure! The .5 of a star is because despite the AWFUL color, they still fit well. I am so disappointed.
