I was giddy to learn this dress came in petite. I like a maxi-midi length as the photo implied. Ordered the medium petite and after it arrived had to double check to make sure I wasn't sent a regular by mistake. It's surprisingly long in both the skirt length and v-neck. Because I can't return i...t, I plan to take up a few inches at the neckline since there is plenty to spare, which will also raise the skirt length from trailing on the ground. It's very pretty, just wish an actual wee person was used as the fitting model. I would recommend to a tall friend but not a short friend.
I would say I like this dress but I never received it. The package tracking showed delivered but no package. When I called Gap to dispute the delivery, they transferred me to some unknown third party who declined to take any further action or refund my money. In case the public isn't aware, Gap i...s now using this third party service that somehow has access to ALL OF YOUR DATA. They track every single return, every exchange and evidently any previous claims of undelivered items. This is beyond ridiculous. I have no control over when a package gets lost or when Gap sizing is inconsistent and I need to return or exchange an item! And I certainly DID NOT authorize a third party to collect my private data. I hope at least one person can read this review before Gap will surely delete it. It is 100% facts.

I love this dress. I am six feet tall and 170 lbs and my waistline isn't as trim as it used to be now that I'm in my 60s. I got size large. This dress is flattering and flows nicely. The tall is long enough in the torso as well as the skirt, it almost reaches the ground. The hem has a nice touch of lace. It's lightweight enough for my Florida summers, but can accommodate another layer underneath for winter. A great find, I'm sure I'll wear it for years.

Very cute dress. Im 5'4" 190lbs, wavered between L/XL, bought the L petit based on reviews and it fits tight with a bra but well without. I would say very true to size. No stretch to the fabric.
