As most of the reviewers have stated, the fabric is really soft. I sized down to an XS based on reviewers saying they run large. I am typically a size 4 and these are ok in an xs, but a small would probably have been better for sleepwear. They aren't baggy in the smaller size and not too tight, but ...I am not a fan of these being super high rise for sleeping in as they don't seem as comfortable. If I was younger, these would be fine for wearing out with a tshirt the way they fit me, but I am 63.
Overall these are soft and cute, but they're definitely not the type of shorts you can get away with around friends or family without a pair of undies underneath.
