I haven't shopped at the GAP in decades. When i heard Zac Posen was taking over i was intrigued. I love his clothes and I was curious how he was going to refresh such an iconic company. I've bought a few pieces here and there last year and was pleasantly surprised by the design and quality but I dec...ided to write a review for these low rise jeans because they are my favorite. I love a good low rise but it's been challenging trying to find one that isn't juvenile especially at my age. These are not your Y2K style hip baring pair. These are much more refined and classy. They hit right below the navel with slightly higher rise on the back giving your derrière a good coverage. TTS. These are true straight leg pair and very flattering on the legs. There is a hint of stretch and tends to stretch out a bit so you must wash and dry these after a wear or two. I seriously hope there are more varieties in this cut because in my book these are the perfect jeans.
The product description says these jeans have a 9" rise, but they actually have an 8.5" rise. That half inch does make a difference in how they look. I didn't like the too literal throwback look of these jeans. Going back.

My first review was positive because I loved and and fit. But then I wore them..... They are sold as having very little stretch but after one wash (warm water, line dry) and one or two wearings.... they are inches longer than they were in the store and won't stay up without a belt. They lost all the structure that made them a good fit in the store. Very disappointing.

These did not flatter me at all. I'm on the shorter side (5'3") and the straight fit, low rise, and shorter inseam made my legs look soooo short. Maybe I'll try with a longer inseam and some heels #sweepstakes

Just what I hoped for: low rise!!! I ordered a 29 short, which were fine but just a bit loose. So I ordered a 28 short as well. Waiting for that order to arrive. Love these jeans (go well with my new Converse high tops)
