As someone with an athletic body shape -- broad shoulders, wider rib cage and no hips -- skater-style dresses are my ride or die, especially when there is no seam at the waist. It gives a more fluid outline to the body, and the skirt on this dress flares out beautifully. I nabbed the tomato red when... it was on sale, loved it so much that I grabbed it in the green stripe as well as the denim version. They will be in heavy rotation this summer. The only bone I have to pick is with the linen-blend ones -- there is some weird puckering going on at the bottom of each of the straps on the front, right above the chest. It's not as noticeable with the red version but with the stripes, it's very noticeable due to the design. I assume this is not a defect in the garment but rather in the design. That's honestly what's stopping me from buying any more colorways.
The floral pattern and material were pretty. However, the size I ordered - my usual, petite medium - was much too big and not petite at all, except for maybe the length. The straps were insanely long; the neckline fell nearly under my bust; and the armholes and bust width gaped by several inches. Ev...en if the measurements had been more true to size, the proportions were not petite in any way. Has Gap stopped doing actual petite sizing (shortening/tailoring proportionally, not just the length)?

nice quality fabric, the neckline is super cute, and it's easy to wear a bra with (or not!). the stretchy back panel and side zip makes it easy to put on, and it fits close to the body without feeling too tight. the style makes it easy to dress up or dress down. the tall sizing also adds more length in the shoulders and waist, which i appreciate

I washed this dress as soon as I got it in the mail & still haven't worn it yet. The fabric is still scratchy & needs to be steamed. Kind of disappointed in this purchase. It fits well, just not the quality fabric that I have purchased in the past from Gap. I have always loved my linen dresses from the Gap.

I wrote the same review for the maxi dress version: I'm generally an S in clothes (34-27-37) so I bought the Petite S size, but it was 2" too large in the bust and waist. I exchanged it for a Petite XS but it's just barely too tight! I can still make the XS work because it's such a cute dress, but it's tight in the armpit. So I am perfectly in between sizes!
