For reference, I am 5'7" and is between 200-205 pounds. I'm typically a 12/31 in pants but sometimes have to size up because I have bigger-ish glutes. I could fit a Large in these; I could probably get a Medium but it'll be too small for my hips/rear. I love that these have drawstrings. As for the l...ength, the regular is a bit short; about 2" off the ground. So even if I wore these low slung, it'll be awkwardly short. I'm keeping the tall length in hopes it will shrink; then might have to get hemmed.
These pants look very different, they are much more baggy, almost clown like. I bought XS and they looked silly on me, which is sad because the fabric is nice and soft. For reference I'm 5'7" and they were ankle length.

Love how these look on. I went XL because I just wasn't sure if Gap 14 was my 14. They are roomy but have tie waist so all good. I also was a little worried about the inseam mine is 32 but again, plenty of length even after washing and drying. They are so comfy and can be dressed up or down. I really never want to take them off. I was bummed they were out of my size in other colors.

I'm pretty consistently a Large, but I order the XL because L was sold out. The XL is definitely extra large! I debated returning them because they're so baggy, but the waist and length are perfect and they are sooo comfortable. They're tall enough for me (6'2) which is amazing, and incredibly loose and comfortable. As a millenial trying to break the chains of skinny jeans, these are an awesome lightweight but sturdy pathway to freedom. #sweepstakes
