I pretty much wear these exclusively. I'm really surprised so many people say these run small. They definitely did not run small in my opinion. I got an XL, which is larger than my usual size so I wouldn't get muffin top or lines, but finding they are too large and ride up, so I'm coming back for a ...smaller size. For reference I wear a size 12 and sometimes a 10. I love how these are breathable, light weight, and no show.
I have always bought size small Gap underwear, and wear small in all other brands as well, but these are tiny. Much much smaller than any other size smalls I have encountered. I hate waste, but I had to throw them away after trying to like them but feeling so uncomfortable with how tight they are.

Def no-show and great for leggings. When it comes to Gap underwear I'm consistently between sizes. Medium is a bit loose; small is a bit tight (sz 27/4). #sweepstakes

I wear these underwear almost exclusively. I typically am a size 10-12, I have been getting these in an XL to prevent lines from them being too tight (eg muffin top). The XL is baggy though…and slides around a lot so I decided to go down to a L. The large is tight, fits like a medium. Very strange sizing. Probably size up.
