Keith Haring was one of the most renowned artists, filmmakers, and performers whose work responded to the urban street culture of the 1980s. Haring began exhibiting in galleries and museums around the world, while also continuing to participate in public projects, including literacy campaigns and anti-AIDS initiatives.

Haring has been the subject of several international retrospectives. His work is in major private and public collections.
