Beautifully cut linen skirt. Hidden flat elastic band at waist is very comfortable. The long lean cut with a just perfect height side slit is so beautiful. The cut of the skirt flares slightly towards the bottom and so it's not a skinny, pencil skirt. I love it and bought it in 2 colors. I lov...e that it's not lined, as the hot Texas summers make those unnecessary and unwanted. 5'2" 100lbs. XXS fits like a dream. I only just got home with the two skirts and have not yet washed these, and am hoping they will hold up well. I have not shopped at the GAP in at least 10 years and was so happy to see the new line of clothes that seem to be good quality and good design. GAP needs to keep it up...if the quality is there, customers will come back..even after 10 years.
The waistband is a little tight to pull up over my hips comfortably and I am a solid Medium at the Gap. I was able to wear it, but it just didn't feel great. The elastic is wide and, even though it didn't feel cheap, it just didn't feel like something I was going to want to wear on repeat. The side ...slit is ok, but the length is that midi length that really doesn't hit right and can't decide if it wants to sit higher or lower. The fabric felt fine and I was a little surprised that it fell loosely around my hips. I would recommend this to the friend I know it would work well on, but in general, this isn't a piece I would tell all my friends I love.

I'm 4'11'', 25 waist, and usually wear petite XS in Gap, which is sometimes a little large on me, or petite XXS in other brands that carry that size. Because reviewers suggested that this skirt ran a little short and tight, I bought regular XS to get a true maxi length on me. Regular XS is 33 inches long and 13.25 inches across the waist (matching the upper range of the size chart). On me, this is comfortable, not clingy. The white colorway is not see-through. I really like this particular linen-blend fabric, which is soft, and smoother and less wrinkly than 100% linen. Also, unlike many cheaper linen-blend fabrics, it looks like it will not pill (I mean actual surface pilling that needs to be shaved off, not the slubs that are part of the linen), because it doesn't have fibers that stick up off the surface.

I do like the simplicity of this skirt. I'm petite in height and it's not overwhelmingly wide. I do wish that it had a properly tailored waist band. I will say that the fabric is stiffer than I was expecting but it works for me as I wanted a more tailored look (as apposed to flowy).
