I'm 5' and 90lbs and am used to petite sizes still being too big and long. I wanted a hot weather travel outfit that I could layer things under if it got cold. I originally tried the petite XS, and the midrise was too low for my taste, so I went with the regular XXS for these pants (and an S in the ...matching top, to ensure there'd be enough length). Knowing I'd have to use a dryer at my destination and wouldn't have time to baby them, I machine washed the bottom and top and threw them in the dryer (they shrunk - no surprise). The regular XXS was almost a little too short after that, but still pretty great. My latest order of this set included a regular XS bottom which still looks good in its prewashed/predryer shrunk state, but I'm confident it'll fit even better after I've purposely shrunk them. I'm not a shorts kinda gal, so these work well for being able to feel the summer breeze but still be in pants. One star off for the color running like the dickens - I'm expecting them to look kind of stone washed pretty soon.
Yes it's a breathable material but it's TOO thin. The black is okay but it's the white pants that aren't worth it honestly, you can see EVERYTHING even with a nude or white underwear. The bottoms are super loose but the top is tight (not uncomfortably tight but not completely comfortable either) may...be that's how the style is. As a bigger woman I'd go with something more elasticity at the top rather than a string tie. Material is nice and feels natural but definitely not Gaps best, I'd give it a 3/10.

I wanted to love these more, and I do like them. The fabric is great for summer and the color is great although not as deep and vibrant as the photo. Unfortunately, they are shorter than expected and kind of puffy around the hips. I'm 5'5" for reference. Also I'm not thin, so maybe on a thin person the puff factor wouldn't be as noticable.

Hot weather staple. Very airy and comfortable, great for lounging or a swim cover up. I have the neon pink set and the first time I wore it, I noticed a bit of pink rubbed off on something. After seeing that, I washed it separately in cold water to avoid damaging other clothes, throwing in a white rag as an experiment. Glad I did because that white rag came out *very pink* from the wash. Just be mindful that the color might bleed onto other fabrics, especially the first time you wash them!!
