Comments about Oversized Denim Car Coat

I like this coat a lot, it's more oversized than it looks in the photo and at first I thought it was too big for me, I was kind of swimming in it but after washing it, it took some of that edge off. It's a really nice design and I feel like it's a coat that I could wear for years. It's a bit pricey so I waited for a sale.

Barn coats, chore coats, "car coats", these are my jam so I was hopeful but the fit just isn't right. I ordered both sizes (I'm a "medium") and I wanted to compare. The M/L was too big (I didn't try it on) and the XS/S was def the right size for me but was too much fabric in the shoulders. It narrows a bit at the bottom. I would've preferred less on top and maybe a few more inches below though the hip/hem are flexible with slits on both sides. I also think the collar would be better in the same denim as the rest of the coat rather than the corduroy (but if I liked the fit I wouldn't care). I do like combined sizing and the more relaxed fits that come with it. I like the relaxed and oversized fits that Gap has right now, hope to keep seeing them (they remind me of some of the slow fashion pieces I have and yearn for). I'm returning but I think it's worth trying if you like it. If you like the fit, the quality is good.

I was looking for a slightly oversized denim coat for the spring, and this looked so cute! I am typically a S/M and ordered the XS/S, and it was still far too big.

I was so excited for this coat to arrive, thinking it would be chic for early spring. But as others have said, it's beyond oversized. I'm 5'4" and 135 lbs, and I'm absolutely swimming in the XS/S. The sleeves are so wide, and the material (which is thinner than I expected for the price) rumples and hangs poorly. It looks like a mess. I will be returning this, sadly.

Really oversized but overall good quality I'm 5'4" and 120 lb and had to return bc more oversized than I wanted

this runs VERY large. if you are straight sized, get the xs/s, it will fit! I am normally a med/large… so i got the m/l. it is kind of an art teacher vibe though if you're into that.

i'm sad about how giant this is since it looks so cool on the model. it looks like i picked up someone else's jacket by mistake... of like i got cold and had to borrow someone's jacket that is way too big for me. would probably work better on a tall person. I'm 5'4".
