Even though this one is also "stretch-to-fit", it fits one size larger than the modern rib tee, which I also purchased. This is my first time buying from gap.com and will be paying close attention to fit description from now on. The top fits nicely and I am considering going one size up for a looser fit. Yes I want more of this tee. The fabric is a medium weight, soft, and with stretch but feels lighter than the modern rib tee. Still Not the ideal fabric for 90+ degree hot summer days but good for cooler days. Honestly, as a perimenopausal woman who can't handle heat, I rather prefer thinner 100% cotton tops. Between the two, I preferred the modern v-neck's neckline, fabric, and fit much better. More colors and patterns please!

As others have said, the style and quality of these have changed to the point it is unrecognizable. i loved the old style. The new one is too short even though i purchased the Tall size, the V neck is much deeper for no reason, the sleeves are shorter, and the fabric is thinner and tighter! what a disappontment when the original was the perfect basic.

This WAS the perfect t shirt. I have been wearing it for 10 years, but the newest version is awful. The worst part is the weird short sleeves, but the v is also lower and the material is different. What will I wear when mine wear out?!

i ordered 4 of these. one grey, one white, and two black. i absolutely love the fit and how comfortable the material is. it's so soft and form fitting (though a little more showy if you have a big bust). it's also a good length for low to mid rise pants (which is hard to find). the cotton/modal/spandex blend is what gives it its softness and breathability. i did unfortunately have to return the white shirt because it was see through. but gosh i wish there we more colors available especially a dark muave-purple!

gapcanada.ca/Very disappointed with the new modern tee. Sleeves are shorter and the body is longer. Also on the v neck the neck is very low. I might size down to see if this helps because I loved these tees in the old design.
