I bought the gingham skirt for tennis and received so many compliments. Practically, I love that it is light weight and the shorts underneath are not too tight for my athletic thighs. I usually wear a medium and bought a medium. Purchased the red one too and the matching gingham jacket which it ...cute with the skirt but would also look nice with jeans as a windbreaker.
Wow! I ordered 3 items and all 3 proved that GAP no longer measures to women's measurements. This skirt has HORRENDOUS material--very cheap and flimsy. Despite buying a skirt that I feared would be too big, but did so because of the compression shorts that accompany such a skirt, when I went to pull... them over my hips I hear two threads snap. Yes, I know my measurements. I regularly shop at Lululemon and Tracksmith--companies that don't scream about body positivity while providing clothing measured to "people with no hips or breasts". I always adjust my size based on what can be expected (e.g. compression shorts should be a size up while a loose fitted shirt can be a size down if I want a tighter fit) and I can do this because most companies still use women as their base and don't lie about the measurements online in their sizing charts. I am only giving a 2 star instead of a 1 star because the shorts are quite nice. But, stop claiming women were intended for these clothing along with your fake "environmental concerns" while sending numerous packages within one order producing large amounts of waste.
