These are 13oz Selvedge jeans. They're not too bad. Somewhat vanity sized, as usual with the Gap, but the bang for the buck is there. These "true denim" non-elastic options are becoming increasingly hard to come by. These are not, however, as Gap markets them, "rigid". These have gone through a was...h cycle, hence not being "raw selvedge" and are quite soft and broken in straight from the store. Consumers have gotten so used to wearing mostly plastic, low-weight, thin, stretchy jeans because it's what is more affordable for manufacturers, and they've forgotten how real denim is supposed to be. 13 oz should be the bare minimum. I'd love to see 14oz make a come back, particularly in raw selvedge options. Let folks remember what it's like to buy a pair of jeans, break them in, and actually get some life out of them.
I wish these jeans fit the way the images of the models and the listed measurements suggest. However, somewhere in the process of being made, whether it was in the design or the construction, I am unsure, there were many flaws. To prospective buyers, I would caution you to reconsider or to be very s...ure. The quality of the fabric is amazing, which is part of why I am so disappointed; I see the potential if they were actually well-made. As it stands, even though I purchased them with a considerable discount, these jeans are one of my most regretted clothing purchases ever. The rise is characterized as mid, and they support that by noting the 11" measurement, but that is simply not true regarding how they fit, at all. These are the lowest rising jeans I have ever put on; they could not sit much lower on the waist, to be frank with you. On top of that, while the waist size fits me nicely, and perhaps even roomier than expected given that there is no stretch, the thighs are much too narrow. Combining that with the skimping of fabric in the crotch allowance, these jeans give you the uncomfortable feeling and unflattering appearance of wearing a diaper with tights. The length of these jeans is slightly too long as well, even when considering cuffing them at the bottom. It seems to me, the jeans were made with saving costs in mind by finding a way to produce the least scrap denim while sacrificing the quality of the final piece as a garment. These jeans are desperate for more fabric above the pant legs, so maybe order 2"-4" larger and plan on wearing a belt with some bunching at the waistband. I have tried to learn to love and tolerate these jeans over the past months I have owned them, but they loom over me negatively as an obligation to wear so that my past self didn't waste his money. I just simply cannot ever justify wearing them.

I absolutely love these jeans. I have 2 pair and am waiting for them to restock my size before ordering another pair. I love the unique worn dark denim. If there's a downside, it's that unlike today's stretch jeans, these will stretch out after wearing them a couple times and you'll be inclined to wash them back to their original fit. Personally, I don't mind.

I really like the feel of these jeans but unfortunately the sizing was really off for me. Even as a slim cut jean they are very baggy in the waistline. I typically wear a 34 but that size in these jeans is more like a 36+.

Slim cut jeans are pretty spot on and the selvedge denim is great. Lots of cuff and holds a pin tuck well.

The cloth is a bit light weight compared to my other jeans which is perfect for summer use. I ordered a size 31 which was absurdly vanity size. Compared to other brands this jeans was 3 inches longer and an inch wider. I sized down by one and chose a shorter length and now I have a perfect fit.
