I normally wear a small but ended up with a large due to how small this runs.

I'm 5'3", 122 and a 34B. Originally I ordered a S, but could barely button it. I returned it for a M and it's perfect… not snug, but fitted. The amount of buttons are a little annoying. The sleeves aren't overly long, the fabric (zero stretch) is soft and looks more elegant than I anticipated. Looks great with black velvet pants - would look just as nice with jeans or a skirt.

Runs shockingly small—plan to size up by 2 or more

I loved the look of this shirt online -- very Practical Magic/'90s energy. But the sizing is WILDLY off. I ordered my usual XL and it was comically tiny. I could tell at a glance there was no way I'd get it on without unbuttoning every one of the teeny, fussy buttons. Even then, once I got it onto my arms, it was obvious the front wasn't coming together by a long shot. The two front panels didn't meet at all -- there was a wide vertical gap of at least 8 inches between the button side and the corresponding buttonholes on the other side. This wasn't a "one button is pulling" situation; the panels never even approached the center of my chest—and although I'm not flat-chested, my bust is proportional. I'd need multiple sizes up just to meet at center. My husband even asked if they'd sent the wrong size, but both the inside label and the hang tag say XL. I actually went back to the page to make sure I didn't accidentally buy a children's top. Unless there was a labeling error on the one I received, this shirt is cut dramatically smaller than a typical women's Gap XL. If you're considering it, plan to size up significantly by 2 or more sizes up.

Runs small

This is a pretty top but it really is small. I usually take a med-large in tops. I ordered a large and it was very tight across the bustline. If you're busy, try another style.

I'm 5'3", 122, 34B - and the small is TINY. A 'straight and easy fit' it is not, but rather a tailored (tapered) top. It has zero stretch or give. I can be a S or M in GAP so I'm returning for a M and going to give it one more go around. It really is a beautiful top and looks much more expensive than it costs! The velvet burnout is velvet, not flocking and the buttons are secure but easy to manage. Try it!
