When I purchased, only a few of the warning reviews were in - so I remained hopeful because the striped one seemed cute. But everyone is completely correct - this dress is NOT at all as advertised! In no way, shape, or form is it oversize and in no way, shape or form is this to be considered heavyweight. Such a bummer - if it had actually been those things, I would be cute, and I might forgive it's lack of pockets (which is also a huge bummer) - of course, that's only possible if you actually use heavyweight jersey.... sadness.

Not sure what's with all the negative reviews but this dress is so cute, thick good quality material, and easy to wear. It's oversized the perfect amount.

I reluctantly purchased this dress bc of all the bad reviews. I did not heed the warning about it NOT being oversized, that critique was accurate. It does not fit oversized at all, so go up a size if you want it to be loose fitted. The material is in fact heavier than that of your average tshirt (quality is great) isn't see through at all if you're wearing it true to size as the material won't stretch resulting in slight transparency. I'm actually quite happy with the quality! Can't wait to wear it this summer. I'm 5'3, 128 lbs. Exchanged XS for a S.

#sweepstakes While this looks so cute on the models, it looks nothing like that in person. It fits small, not oversized in any way-like a fitted t shirt dress everywhere except for the stomach wish gapes. I am a size small petite in gap, sometimes an extra small petite but my usual small petite was fitted and too tight across my hips and bum as well as in the shoulders. This is not what I would call a thick material either, it feels like a regular t shirt fabric which was disappointing. I tried the striped one and it is see through, it's going straight back!

This is a very confused dress. It looks like a men's high-neck tshirt from the waist-up. The sleeves look like they need to be tapered and the high crewneck is unflattering and weird for short sleeves. Then, the waist-down is more feminine—fitted and nice slit. There is nothing oversized about this dress except the weird sleeves. And it would be more flattering if the fabric had spandex—100% cotton doesn't retain its shape very well.

I bought a medium-sized dress that fit perfectly, but after washing it in cold water and drying it on a dry rack, it shrunk and no longer fits.

I have the men's heavyweight tee and I thought this dress would be comparable. The tee is soft and a heavier weight that denotes luxury, but not so much that it can't be worn in the summer months. Based on the fit notes, I purchased a small tall as it said the fit was Oversized and it appeared like the dress was overly large on the models. I wanted that look but didn't want to be overwhelmed. The dress is not oversized. The small basically fit my hips, not tight, but like a straight shift dress. The cut wasn't boxy and it wasn't oversized anywhere. I returned both colors, black and brown and ordered my regular size medium tall hoping for a better look and fit. I honestly didn't notice how thin the fabric was in the first order as I was so disappointed with the fit. Second order was just as disappointing. Okay fit, but still not oversized. The dress was not cut for a boxy look. The sleeves do not fit like on the model. They're regular sleeves and thought they would be 2 inches longer based on the tall fit but they aren't and the circumference is too small. The only nice thing was the length. I'm 5'5" and wanted a maxi look. The tall hit at my ankles which was perfect. I think the only way this would fit oversized is if I bought an extra large which would be too long if I got tall and probably not long enough if I got regular. The fit on this is very concerning, confusing and frustrating. If I were to keep the medium tall, washed it and hung to dry it would shrink. I noticed how thin the dresses were on the second order. Not at all like the men's heavyweight tee. This doesn't feel like a hundred dollar dress. At best it's medium weight or moderately lightweight. I am a size 8, measurements: 36, 29, 40. Had the dressed been designed and cut like what the models are wearing the medium tall should have given me that look, but the dress on the model and the dresses I received are not the same. I am disappointed
