For reasons unknown to me, Gap added a side zipper to a skirt that already has pull-on type back-of-waistband elastic; because of the thickness of the elastic waistband where it is sewn to the zipper, the zipper can't fully close (or requires more force than I am willing to apply to delicate cotton)...

Bought a petite medium, it fit in the waist but was too big in the hips. The indigo colour is nice and the fabric is substantial but the side zipper was awkward - it wouldn't go up the last inch, even when I wasn't wearing it.

I got petite medium which was large for my 5'4" 132 lbs frame- getting petite small. It is a beautiful material, great Doen dupe. The indigo is just the slightest shade too bright but the 100% fabric feel compensates.

The quality is great it's light and stiff but flexible and comfortable material It was definitely true to size I didn't feel like I needed a draw-string to tighten it either.

For reasons unknown to me, Gap added a side zipper to a skirt that already has pull-on type back-of-waistband elastic; because of the thickness of the elastic waistband where it is sewn to the zipper, the zipper can't fully close (or requires more force than I am willing to apply to delicate cotton) and gapes open at the waistband. The fabric is beautiful but I don't know what they were thinking with the waist design (and the blue eyelet skirt I also ordered from this season has the same issue). Just pick one closure- pull on or zip up!
