I'm 5' and 90lbs and am used to petite sizes still being too big and long. I wanted a hot weather travel outfit that I could layer things under if it got cold. I originally tried the petite XS, and the midrise was too low for my taste, so I went with the regular XXS for these pants (and an S in the ...matching top, to ensure there'd be enough length). Knowing I'd have to use a dryer at my destination and wouldn't have time to baby them, I machine washed the bottom and top and threw them in the dryer (they shrunk - no surprise). The regular XXS was almost a little too short after that, but still pretty great. My latest order of this set included a regular XS bottom which still looks good in its prewashed/predryer shrunk state, but I'm confident it'll fit even better after I've purposely shrunk them. I'm not a shorts kinda gal, so these work well for being able to feel the summer breeze but still be in pants. One star off for the color running like the dickens - I'm expecting them to look kind of stone washed pretty soon.
Yes it's a breathable material but it's TOO thin. The black is okay but it's the white pants that aren't worth it honestly, you can see EVERYTHING even with a nude or white underwear. The bottoms are super loose but the top is tight (not uncomfortably tight but not completely comfortable either) may...be that's how the style is. As a bigger woman I'd go with something more elasticity at the top rather than a string tie. Material is nice and feels natural but definitely not Gaps best, I'd give it a 3/10.

I actually loved the joggers in the army/olive green in M (I'm 5'8"), but couldn't justify the price point (even on sale). Cotton gauze joggers should not be almost $80!
