These are fantastic—but like most tops they run short, so even though I'm 5'5" I ordered a M tall in order to have a normal length. They're NOT long at all. For reference, I wear a 38D/36DD bra size and the medium tall fits my hourglass shape perfectly—I use them for work so I prefer a slightly the...m slightly fitted—no drape and they're perfect—not boxy at all! I usually buy the Breathe versions but there gotten so thin last season and got a bunch of holes. These feel just as cool but slightly more substantial fabric and the texture gives them more of a matte finish than the Breathe line. I think they look more professional and the turtleneck itself is a little higher which looks good.
Between the two black turtlenecks I ordered from Gap, the Featherweight was far inferior to the Modern. Yes, the Featherweight is buttery soft – but it's also flimsy (the neck doesn't stay up nicely) and incredibly thin. If that's what you're looking for and you catch it on sale, yay! But the Modern... has more weight to it (while still being sleek and snug) and the neck itself stays up for a chic look. The Modern is actually worth keeping, IMO.

Yes this is a featherweight turtleneck. I was a little concerned about it's weight but paired it with a heavy gap sweater and it was perfect. Gap, please give us more colors! I like jewel tones that are bright! I always have to order tall in shirts and sweaters now since midriff shirts are the rage and I don't like short shirts!
