these are GREAT pants. I ordered my usual size across brands, 14, and while the 14 in these pants technically fit, i am returning for a 16 to get more ease through the seat. noteworthy: i typically do size up in gap pants, but stick with my usual xl when that range (straight s-xl) applies. at old na...vy i usually wear a 14 and still have the wiggle room i'm hoping the 16 give me with this re-order. these pants are the perfect taper (not much, really) that keep them in straight leg territory and out of "wide leg," where i do love to live, but in an ankle crop i want good flow and to remain professional with a straighter cut. these pants have the perfect amount of shape to them in that way. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, they are crepe, not twill. this is fine with me, but should be clear to the consumer. won't stop me from ordering a second color while they're 50% off. 2 for 1? don't mind if i do!
FEEDBACK for GAP: Please start including inseam (and waste) measurements on your descriptions! The general model sizing is not that helpful. Having an actual inseam (in inches) included in the description will reduce returns/exchanges and increase sales. The other gap brands do it, why don't you?

Love these pants. They are NOT TWILL. They are a crepey, drapery fabric that skims your body perfectly. They lay flat with in front and back. High waisted which I love for my short waisted petite frame. They are a deep neutral brown hat have an elevated look. They will carry over to all seasons. I ordered them in petite 6P but they were too cropped for my taste . They fit just like the picture but I don't care for hat look on me. I returned and ordered them in a 6R. Perfect for my 25" inseam. They are slightly cropped and I can wear them with a 2" kitten heel or flats. I wish all pants fit as well as these! I have not washed them yet . Hopefully they don't shrink. I don't put ANY pants in the dryer EVER, that is just me.

These run a little big and are overall flattering, but they 100 percent are not twill. They are a "dressier" crepe pant.

I was surprised that these fit so well. I purchased a Tall instead of a regular, so I'd have more leg room. The fabric is nice and covers well.
