I bought the Tuscan Red color. I don't think it's too low rise, which I like. I am 5'9" and got the 27L. I also got the matching color knit cotton cardigan sweater, that I use as a shirt with a different crop cami under it. I probably will wear both matching color pieces together this fall as a unic...olor outfit. I usually always line dry my clothes to prevent any risk of shrinkage (arms, legs). I haven't washed these yet. But I have other corduroys in past years from the Gap and I really like them. I think I am maxed out. lol
These are cute but too big. I'm a size 24 so I can't go down a size. The biggest problem, however, is the zipper. Possibly this is just a problem with the petite, but the zipper and its accompanying fabric is just too long and makes the crotch poof out oddly when you sit or even slightly bend over. ...I found this to be a problem with the other low rise jeans I ordered (the long and lean). A low rise pant in petite obviously needs a shorter zipper to work.

I am 5'1" 112 lbs. Bought size petite 28. They fit snug but good and the length is just right. I hope they don't shrink when washed.
