This is a great sweater. It's beautiful, I love the weight and that it's 100% cotton. It reminds me of the sweaters I used to wear in the 90s. However, like others have noticed, the sweater smells like fried onions or a stinky restaurant smell. I initially thought that I had received a sweater that... someone else had purchased and returned, and the smell of that person was left on the sweater, but after reading other reviews, it seems like it's a common issue among others that have purchased this sweater. I purchased three colors and the only one that smells is the cream. I'm debating if I'm going to return it or try to get the smell out of the fabric myself.
I own several of these sweaters and buy at least one every season. They're part of my (L.A.) winter uniform. I purchased two sweaters (lavender, XL & navy blue,XXL), they arrived separately. The lavender isn't as oversized on my plus sized body but it still fits nicely. The navy blue sweater is over...sized perfectly and the color great for me. So why the 3 star review? The blue sweater smelled like straight up chopped white onions. I wore it to work(!), but didn't notice the smell since i had a bit of a cold that was worse in the morning. I smelled some funk all day, thought it was a co-worker's lunch. To my horror, after taking some cold medicine, I realized the FUNK was coming from ME!! I've washed it and it still smells! so if you buy it and it smells return it.

I love the look of this sweater but oh my goodness it smells terrible and there doesn't seem to be anything you can do about it. The smell doesn't seem to appear until the sweater gets warm on your body which can make for a super embarrassing situation

I'm 5', 145 lbs, 36G and got the L petite - perfect loose fit without looking too oversized (pit-to-pit measurement is roughly 24"). The sleeve hits where my thumb starts, and the hem hits just below mid-hip for me. Also appreciate that the neckline is comfortable and leaves space for a tshirt to peek out. Less one star for the chunky seam at the armholes, but the quality of the knit is excellent. No malodours when I opened the package. #sweepstakes

It's a nice classic basic to have in the closet but I'm not thrilled about the shade of cream- looks dull. And the neck is tight. It's ok but not amazing.

As others have stated this sweater is so smelly. Multiple washes - multiple attempts to get rid of the onion, body odor smell. Terrible.
