I was appalled at how large the XL pink was. I had ordered an XXL in green in this sweater last year, and it was too large. I kept it to wear around the house as I loved the color so much and they did not have it in a smaller size. So this year I ordered the sugar pink in XL and it is absolutely HU...GE. Barely smaller than the XXL was. Oversized is one thing, but I am a fat female (5' 6" and 200 lbs) and I look like I am wearing a man's big and tall meant for a large 6' 4" man! Usually I wear an XL in anything, but I will have to order a medium in hopes of getting this to fit as even the large isn't going to cut it. I really love the color, so I am going to reorder and see how that works. Note: The measurement of the XXL green from last year was 25" across the shoulders from seam to seam, and the measurement of the body was the same. I measured the XL pink, and while it is smaller it is not small enough to make any substantial difference, at 24" across the shoulders and 24" across the body. I'm gonna take a guess that the L is 23" across and the medium 22" across. We'll see. I would still recommend the sweater because color and softness is wonderful, just be careful of the size you order. Seriously, folks!
I realize that this is described as "oversized," but this sweater is huge. I'm 5'5", 160 lbs and initially ordered a large - I looked like a child trying on her dad's sweater. I returned it and ordered a medium, but there was almost no difference between the medium and large. I would get a small or ...even extra small, but the pants with this set didn't fit well either, so I'm just going to return everything. On the positive side, it's a beautiful pink color and very soft.

This sweater is soft and warm, but also thick and heavy. I mostly wear cashmere sweaters, so I am used to a lighter weight. The fit is slightly oversized, no need to size up unless you want really loose and baggy. I like that the v neck is not too high. #sweepstakes

This sweater is wonderful! It's very soft, warm and thick. I love mine so I bought it in 3 colors! The quality in Gap clothing has improved greatly in the past few years. I find myself looking at Gap clothing before specialty stores that charge twice what The Gap does. Keep it up.
