So a few things about these pants: they are definitely high-rise, not mid-rise. On my body, they are belly-button high. They are also very cropped, which is fine for me personally as someone who has short legs and prefers a 25-26 inch inseam. I know other reviewers have found them way too short. I...'m usually a size 6 or 8 depending on the brand, and have thicker thighs with a smaller waist. These pants fit me perfectly in a size 2, which was shocking. FYI, the sizing is NOT consistent between colors. 2 in "saddle brown" is a perfect fit, while 2 in the "khaki" color is a little too baggy. I recommend trying these on in-store, if you can. They are very cute pants and remind me a lot of Dickies and/or the Everlane straight-leg crop pants, especially the "saddle brown" color. If you own the Everlane straight-leg crops, these GAP pants are a thinner material and have a bit more stretch to them, IMO. Formal enough for work but can also be dressed down with sneakers.
I guess I won't be able to have any khaki's from Gap this year. I've ordered them all, every style, and sent them all back. I sized up TWO sizes in order to be able to close the waist which means the rest of the pant is enormous. The regular length on these is fine on me at 5'5", but what is UP with... Gap making the waist on all their pants so tiny now? Who do they think can wear these? I'm not the only one, read the other reviews. My regular size that I order all day long - couldn't get the waist within 3 inches of being able to close. Went up a size, still couldn't close, but the rest was loose. Up another size, I could fasten the waist but I looked ridiculous because the pants were super huge. The rise is so long that I look like Fred Mertz on I Love Lucy. I gave 2 stars because other than the waist issue, the quality if fantastic and the concept of a khaki in the green color I love really ticked all boxes for me. Shame I can't wear them, not sure who can. Let me know when you correct this problem with your line, Dear Gap. I've spent an absolute ton of money at Gap but can't this year due to this issue.

I am a size 4-6 in normal world, so I ordered a 2 - they fit like a 10! gigantic, they're barely staying on. Yet, simultaneously, they are TOO SHORT. I am only 5'2" and I ordered regulars, and when I sit they are mid-calf. It's really an achievement to make a pair of pants both too large and too small simultaneously. Not sure what's up with GAP sizing lately.
