Inspired by our archival Long and Lean fit, we brought back this favorite but modernized it. Low rise. Clean bootcut leg. And all in comfort stretch denim.

I owned a pair of original long and leans from 2002 but eventually gave them to charity because of how constricting and uncomfortable they were. The new, brown colorway caught my eye, but I was skeptical about the fit because I no longer spend $ on jeans that pinch and don't move with me. Surprising...ly, the new fabric hugs curves and maintains its shape but allows for comfortable movement. Just like the old jeans, the new long and leans have a sexy silhouette that's easy to dress up or down, but this new release has 7% elastane. The fabric also has a lightly sueded, broken-in feel. An instant wardrobe staple.
I have a mixed review. I was SO excited to see the return of the Long & Lean jeans. I absolutely loved these jeans in the early 2000s, and they fit me perfectly. I'm short waisted, so these "low-rise" jeans fit me at my natural waist. I have a juicy booty, apron belly, and thinner thighs, and th...ey flatter everything. They were a great mid-weight jean with a little more cotton than other brands (which I prefer). I originally bought them in a medium wash, and then I bought the darker wash. I was so pleased, I bought the white. Same weight, same fit (33 short) - perfection. All the stars. Then, I bought the black and a medium wash with a little more fading. FAIL. Since Gap originally reissued these with a limited time and seeing how popular they were/are, they have found a way to make them more cheaply. The two new pairs are both tigher and way lighter weight. I'm very disappointed. Don't waste your money on the newest washes.

Love the fit, feel and length of these jeans! I am just over 6ft tall, 147lbs size 6 and these are the perfect length. I don't think they are truly low rise, as they are more a a mid rise. I highly recommend them to us tall girls.

I've been looking for a dark wash flared jean. This says low rise but they're more like mid rise if you grew up in the 2000s and are wary that any bending will have your butt hanging out. Fit true to size, I'm 5'2 and the short length were perfect for a flat or low heel shoe.

Theses are somewhere between a low and a midrise. Ended up keeping the smaller size because they run a size too big. Also, the Dark Indigo color are darker (like the Dark Blue Indigo) and not as nice as the picture. Keeping them because the petite length is perfect.
