I certainly dont need another jean trench since I already have 2 other Gap jean jackets( they are a lighter color) and some other brand trenches, but I had to have this one as well. I purchased this one in a large instead of a medium, which my others are in. The large gives me more room to wear sweathers underneath. There is room, but I can tie the tie inbthe back to give more shape if needed. I love this trench. I feel so cool in it. Lots of compliments

I am usually a medium but would need small in this coat.I find it heavy also..Good quality denim though. I have to add a note to buyers far from Gap stores and UPS outlets. Canada Post is not a prepaid return label method anymore.And UPS do not pick up at home.Gap OUTLETS cannot accept exchanges. Size down IMHO.

I wear size large but sized down to medium in this. The shoulders fit better. Large I could wear a bulky sweater, but without it on, it just looked too big. Very good fabric, something you can wear for many years.

LOVE IT. I am a L and got a L and it fits perfectly. Slightly loose so u can wear a sweater or long sleeves under. I love the quality of the jean.

I normally buy Regular in XL but after reading the reviews, I decided to get Tall so that it was longer. It was the right choice. The length is perfect, reminiscent of the good old days when coats were almost down to the ankle. It's a well constructed coat with unexpected details adding to the style. The sleeves were a little too long but rather than ruining the detail by shortening it at the wrists, I've drawn it up at the shoulder. There is a good weight and density to the denim. It's wonderful to see styles from my past resurfacing and a real pleasure to own once again. A great purchase, beautifully made and appreciated at a discounted price.

Really nice details on this long denim trench. I have the short version as well. Both are great! Soft and easy to throw on over a mini skirt or jeans. Good variation on a traditional trench coat.

Good!! I like it.

Maybe this is SLIGHTLY oversized in the arms/shoulders. However the bottom half of the coat is cut straight, almost tapered, and does not swing out. Leaving those of us with butts unable to button the bottom button comfortably for normal walking or sitting. I usually order large coats to have room for layering, but thought I would test the "oversized" label on this item...nope. Need a large, with the hope that I can tolerate the already super long sleeves in the next size up. The construction of the coat is great as far as stable buttons, plus the actual "trench coat" construction of rain placket and inside buttons for buttoning this coat up nice and snug against the chill. Too bad the sizing is just pretty average instead of oversized. Really cut for the incredibly tall, thin, long-armed models on the site, not us in the majority. But I will try a large because it is a nice coat. (BTW it is soft normal weight denim. Feels comfy.)
