This shirt is a staple! I love the basic colors and the classy boatneck style. I last purchased this shirt in 2023, and I felt the color had faded, so it was time for a new one. I was bummed to see that the neckline has changed since then. It used to be wider, with two lines of stitching, but now it's narrower and thicker, with one line of stitching, which feels and looks like lower quality. As the shirt wears, I worry that the new neckline will pucker, because of the width and thickness. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Like many other long term Boatneck T-Shirt buyers I'm disappointed in the current fabric quality. It's thin. Gap continues to reduce the quality to meet a price point. It's sad. I've been buying this style for years because the style is very flattering on me but I'm about done with ordering. They are starting to look like stretchy polyester jersey and not cotton. I definitely wouldn't order white. The style is great Gap but please stop reducing the quality of the materials. You're ruining a great classic hard to find and flattering neckline T-shirt and btw add some more colors.
I love the color, it's a great basic that looks good with just about anything.

Great material, not as fitted as I wanted
These modern tees were my favorite shirt for layering or for wearing around the house. Now, they're made with a modal blend that makes them look & feel cheap and thin. I'll be looking elsewhere for a similar fit & blend as the old tees. Disappointed!

This is not the same modern boatneck GAP carried a year ago. This uses an extremely thin cotton material, a thinner, shorter neckline, with cheaper, lower-quality stitching. The white is completely see-through. I am so disappointed. I have one in every color. Last year, the modern boatneck was mistaken for SKIMs/Aritizia several times! Now, this looks like it came from SHEIN/H&M. Never buying again unless GAP reverts to their old style and material. I know cost-cutting measures are necessary to keep profits high, but I would rather pay more for the high-quality cotton tops from last year. Returning this.

Unfortunately these are not the same boat necks from a couple of years ago. Gap seems to have changed the fabric these are made of... I have purchased many in the past. The fabric was heavier and the boat neck wider. They were my favorite top ... worn daily. I am very disappointed in the quality!
This shirt is so comfortable and modern perfect for any occasion, I hope more color options become available.
