So happy to have these back in my life! I am 5'7" and very short waisted and SLIGHTLY long-legged, where many "regular" (32" usually) inseams are just slightly too short and a long is too long unless in heels. These have always been perfect, and the reissue of them remains perfect. I just wish ther...e were more actual Gap stores to be able to go in and try them on (as I am just between sizes too… and often different colors do have a little variation. Have 3 pairs so far, one in a 32 and two 31s, and one pair of the 31s is looser than the 32s. Washington is a huge state, and we have one Gap store on either side of the state now. Just 2 stores!!! That's all. So sad!!! The closest store is about 100mi away since most of the mall stores have closed in the last 2yrs, I used to have 3 stores to choose from within a half hour drive!! Bring back the stores!) These jeans are 5 stars all day every day. Please keep making them, and it would be wonderful to see them expanded into the factory line since there seem to be many more of those as actual brick and mortar stores.
I have a mixed review. I was SO excited to see the return of the Long & Lean jeans. I absolutely loved these jeans in the early 2000s, and they fit me perfectly. I'm short waisted, so these "low-rise" jeans fit me at my natural waist. I have a juicy booty, apron belly, and thinner thighs, and th...ey flatter everything. They were a great mid-weight jean with a little more cotton than other brands (which I prefer). I originally bought them in a medium wash, and then I bought the darker wash. I was so pleased, I bought the white. Same weight, same fit (33 short) - perfection. All the stars. Then, I bought the black and a medium wash with a little more fading. FAIL. Since Gap originally reissued these with a limited time and seeing how popular they were/are, they have found a way to make them more cheaply. The two new pairs are both tigher and way lighter weight. I'm very disappointed. Don't waste your money on the newest washes.

All my bootcut jeans are Gap, 26 long preferred (26R can work). Purchased "black wash" and "dark blue indigo" -- both were baggy throughout the butt and thighs. Hanging off my hips. They fit as if several (!) sizes too large. I'm 5'9 and 120 lbs. The only positive is the length on the "long" inseam was, in fact, long.

Size down. They already run big, but stretch out in the day super easy. Further they are definitely a mid-rise, but I was only set on the boot cut so I'll live. At 5'2 even the short ran longer than expected with the size chart.

Ordered this in 33 tall, fits well but the button pockets seemingly are not sized up to accommodate for the larger size? Pockets seemingly disproportionately small on size 33 compared to the smaller models fit.

I bought these because they were touted as a throwback to the 90s boot cut jeans. They are not. These are flares. Bummer.

Comments about Low Rise Long & Lean Jeans
These are true to size, I am a 27 in most jeans including these. Be aware that they DO stretch out a little bit throughout the day because they are not 100% cotton denim. I could probably size down to a 26 if having a form-fitting look was the most important thing, but I wear these a lot at work (sitting down on an office chair) and they are supremely comfortable for that. They are not an ultra low rise by any means, you can find lower now that Y2K fashion is trending again for a bit, but this is low enough to be comfortable and flattering on us short-waisted ladies without having to worry about the top of your underwear peeking out. I am 5'6" and regular length is best for everyday wear with sneakers, I did get one tall pair to wear with heels.
