I'm absolutely in love with this. The top fits so perfectly and the skirt portion hits in all the right places, making this so flattering and comfortable. The perfect piece for summer! I'm 5'2" and petite and went with the XS petite.
as others have mentioned the top portion of the dress is extremely extremely form-fitting and tight. I'm normally a small and I got a small size and it was way too tight. it was a great disappointment because the dress has pockets and the fabric of the skirt is beautiful and comfortable. it's just ...the top was just way too uncomfortable. I think the proportion is also a little bit off for this dress as the waste area hits differently and I'm 5'5 this is not a con of the dress but the top is actually a dark navy blue not a black

But this maxi dress to tight (large) just want them to exchange it from L to XL iam not returning the dress custumer service talked too said can't exchange and need to purchase pay again. Beware, fellow shoppers. Cotton, lined, pockets, no bra req'd. Sounds great. Sounds easy. Nope. Based on reviews, I bought M instead of usual S. (Reg length, "blue stripe"). I'm 5'6", 125lbs, small chested. It's plenty long in total length, but I agree with so many others: the tank portion is short & struggle-tight, plus, it's true, something about the pleats makes the transition from tank to skirt unflattering. Too many pleats? Or they start too high? Yes, you can adjust the straps, but max length offers minimal help. Even if the straps could lengthen further, so that the waist hit somewhere nice, there'd be danger-zone chest exposure. If I got a tall, the skirt would be too long. Tried wearing it with the straps short, empire-waist style. I looked like a pregnant Amish woman - which is otherwise a beautiful thing, it's just that I'm neither. Maybe there's a body type this could suit? Wish I'd returned, but I ironed it & wore it to a party. Zero compliments. It's either a give-away, or I'll cut most of the tank off so that it's a striped skirt with a navy waste band.
