This really is a cute dress, but it's too short to be worn in a professional environment, and it's too "business-y" for me to want to wear as a casual everyday item. I'm 5'4", and when I stood stand straight up, the dress hits 2-3 inches above my knees. Unfortunately, as soon as I raise my arms or... bend at the waist at all, it becomes much shorter. A few things that may be useful to others: First, the gray herringbone fabric includes wool. I think it was 29% wool according to the tag. Second, the pockets are real (though stitched shut... you can unstitch them). It really is a nicely made item, but it's just too short.
I find that Gap dresses usually run on the larger end, but I had the opposite problem with this dress. I ordered my usual size large, and it was so snug. There's no stretch or zipper. I feel like I would have to order two sizes larger for it to work. Will be returning.

The colour is vibrant and the fit is true size. Although I am petite bit ordered the tall, to make sure the dress wasn't too short.

I wanted to love this dress. It is beautifully constructed and the linen feels nice and thick. The shape of she dress doesn't work on my hourglass figure but would be perfect for ladies with a straighter shape.
