I recently purchased this item in 5 colors ! Thankfully, I was able to snag them during a 40% off sale because- sayonara conscious spending plan (deep sigh). They are that great. These joggers sit high on the waist, unlike the vintage soft joggers (which sit almost directly on the waist) Adios muffi...n top. Ok, so the part that you all are reading to find out - "How do they fit ?". For reference, I am 5'2 and weigh approximately 125 lbs. I purchased all items in a size XXS regular, it gives a slightly snug fit, but they have lots of stretch. If you want a more loose fit, i would suggest to get your normal size. At 5'2, the joggers sit on my ankles. They have a soft, fleece-like lining, which makes them oh so comfortable and warm. The colors that I purchased (Black, Heather Grey, Moonstone Beige, Wassel Brown and Mistletoe Green) are all pretty identical to the colors online. I would say the beige is a light, creamy color, brown is in the taupe family and the green is a very dark, green color. I will be living in these joggers all winter.
OK, I NEVER write reviews, but this is bad. I bought the neon pink sweatshirt, and 2 sets of sweatpants (wide leg and regular) in the same color. I do not wash before I wear - I know, I know - but I popped the tags and laid down on my bed all cozy to read a book. Didn't notice anything until many ho...urs later when I actually got under my duvet for bedtime...duvet stained pink from dye bleed. OMG! Have never had this happen before, even with a "color may transfer" warning tag. Proceeded to wash sweats 2 times and the second time put in a white gym towel to test the color-fastness. Completely white towel now completely pink. I got the dye out the duvet and the 3 other items of clothing it transferred to using a 6 HOUR soak in Oxiclean and then a heavy duty wash with more Oxiclean. I returned the sweats to Gap in person to tell them. They didn't really seem to believe me and said no one else had complained. There was a huge display of this color sweats front and center. I was happy to be able to return them. I really loved the color and wanted to keep them but IMAGINE...all I could think about was what if I had sat on the couch or worse...SOMEONE ELSE'S couch!!! Nope nope nope.

No way the sizes they say the models are wearing could be accurate. Or else they changed these dramatically since they took those pictures. If you measure directly across the waist of a small, it measures 14" -- not stretched -- so if you have a 27-28" waist, it's sitting loosely (and no drawstring). The butt area is also huge - I'm not a flat-butted person and I felt like I was wearing a potato sack. The regular inseam is also only 27" (it says 31½"!), so if you wear those high-waisted like shown, no way that those cuffs are resting anywhere near your shoe tops. 2 stars because the material is soft and feels high-quality, if they could get the sizing and cut right, these could be great.

Gap's petite sweatpants options are extremely limited, but this one has been available for a few years now. I am 5'3, bottom heavy, 130lbs--I usually wear a 27 maaaaybe 28 petite at GAP. In these sweats, the petite S fits reliably every time. They come all the way to my natural waist--much higher than on the model--so I have to fold over the band 1- 2x to make them hold onto my hips and not just squeeze my organs. This also helps with the way they get stretched out of shape after a while, causing diaper butt and sloppy knees. I end up washing and drying them more often than necessary just to restore their shape, which fades the darker colors. But they are The Option, I have 4 pairs, the material is truly classic old-school sweats, and they do hold up well to frequent wear. I just really, really wish that the baggier and lower rise cuts would come in petite and that the petite colorways would be expanded and more available.
