These pants are way too long. The GAP must be using the electronic or iphone's measurement device to arrive at 30.5 inches in length. My dressmakers tape says 33 inches. I love these, especially for winter, wearing over snow boots. The fabric is substantial and doesn't wrinkle around the lower thigh. I buy them in my regular size, but tall. Then I hem them. I like them longer than what is shown in the photo.
