I had bought these in Dark Brown a few mos. ago and really like how they have become more comfortable with wear and came back and got the off-white. In the brown I bought the 'short' inseam, and this time bought the short and regular inseam, as each pair will run differently. What my pet peeve is, a...nd no one will update the Gap size guide to match the description, is that they show different measurements for the inseam. NOTE: the description is correct, the guide is wrong, although the short I bought this time only measured 28 1/2, not 29. I kept the regular which is 301/2 and is much better with flats. I am 5'5, 117, very short waisted so my height is all in my legs. I went up to the 28, from my usual 27, since no stretch and I cannot stand anything tight, esp. in a light color. I also like to pull the pants to sit lower as being so short waisted this rise can be uncomfortable and odd on my short torso. The off white is great color and goes with all the Gap off white and cream sweaters and cardigans. I got on sale and thought great buy. This style will always be in. I also like how they stretch out and conform to body with wearing, but don't bag out in the behind or knees...you just need to order a few, even if in same size, as all are cut differently.
Okay! 5'3" 130, pear shaped. Usually a size 6/28 petite or short. I had to purchase a 30 petite to finally get the right fit. Note these pants are low stetch material so do not expect any give with these jeans. On the other hand the acid washed color is definitely awesome and once you can nail yo...ur comfortable fit they are good. I didnt want to give up on these but here is my experience: 28 petite - I cant even pull these up let along zip them. Returned. 29 short - i can pull them up, and can zip them up halfway before im dying. Returned. 28 short - I tried the 29 short first and I didn't even bother. Returned. 30 petite - full length as stated and appropriately snug through hips and thighs. KEEP! There you go.

I ordered these in a size 25 petite and was extremely happy to find that they are the perfect length on me. The shape of the pant looks, on me, a lot like it does in the website's photos, but I do find that the fit is a little off. Slightly too tight through the thigh (in a flattering way, at least), but a little loose in the waist (fixable with a belt), so if I went for a bigger or non-petite size I would have a better thigh fit but an even looser waist, or the wrong inseam, but going for a smaller size would be too small around the thigh. If you have a very straight leg shape, these might fit you better. There's not a lot of give to the fabric, but they're not uncomfortable either. Anyway, it's nice that these are 98% cotton, but they still feel a little flimsy. I'll probably have to be careful about washing them if I want them to last. I also wish the black wash was a little darker. For the sale price though, these are a really nice replacement for the worn out jeans I had before. #sweepstakes

I snagged these for the color wash " New medium wash " this is a vintage GAP color that GAP had back in the 90's. It truly is the best color. I like this style it's simple, easy, everyday jean. Low stretch but will stretch w/ wear. I am a 24 ( 5'2 95 lbs) and got these in the a 25P because I know I will wash these and they will shrink. Fine by me. Could of went w/ 24 but I like them straight with a little give. Tempted to go back and by another pair in this color. Great, great, wash. High rec.

Growing up in the 70's and being in my 20's in the 80's I got use to a certain way jeans fit. Not torn. Not sloppy. But classy. It is so hard to find high waisted shape fitting classy looking jeans. These are the closet I can find. I wish the rear gave more of an up lift like the older jeans use to. The waist design above the rear seems to sag down and the pockets need to be raised higher to give that classy look. But if you are looking for stylish classic fitting jeans these come so close

I'd be lying if I said that I didn't hop on the Gap bandwagon after their most recent ad.....despite that, this jeans purchase was my first one from Gap and I do not regret this purchase not even a bit. These jeans fit fantastically, the material isn't itchy and the crossover touch is just the flare I look for in my clothing style. They do sit a teensy bit lower than most high rise jeans but the fit is still at my waist, just right above my belly button. 10/10! I will be purchasing in other washes!
